PURPOSE OF THE JOB
We are looking for a driven Process Engineer with a passion for manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement, and leadership development. This role is designed for an engineer who wants to build a deep understanding of corrugated packaging operations while leading improvement initiatives across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects across corrugated and converting operations.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, TPM, SMED, Standard Work, Visual Management, and Problem Solving.
- Observe processes at the gemba to identify waste, variation, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate structured problem-solving activities using root cause analysis and cause-effect methodologies.
- Improve machine reliability, changeover performance, material flow, and operational stability.
- Support production teams in achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives.
- Lead Moonshine and low-cost automation projects to simplify work and eliminate waste.
- Work with maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
- Analyse production data and convert findings into practical improvement actions.
- Coach and develop operators, supervisors, and support teams in Lean thinking and continuous improvement principles.
- Support implementation of best practices and Yokoten activities across multiple lines and operations.
- Participate in capital and equipment improvement projects where required.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Lean Manufacturing exposure advantageous.
