PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Shift Artisan plays a vital role in the task of ensuring maximum machine availability to production.  This is accomplished by constantly improving and not just fitting new parts but doing proper RCA on each breakdown to eliminate the cause by applying first time right. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• The person will be responsible for maintenance, breakdowns, work orders (job cards) and other requests from Production, on all machinery.
• Reduction of Downtime & Improvement of Converting performance (long term)
• The person will be required to work shifts (12hr continental) and weekends on a scheduled basis.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Matric
• Computer literate
• Forklift license advantageous
• Trade Tested
• Three years’ experience at a high-speed production plant
• Knowledge on preventative maintenance
• In depth experience of Corrugating & Converting equipment (operation & maintenance).
• Fault finding skills
