PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Manage production on the wet end maintain running speeds

REPORTING TO:          Corrugator Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage production on the wet end to prevent the corrugator running below 150 m/minute
• Ensures the correct paper is on the reel stands for running orders
• Ensures the correct paper is on the reel trolleys for the next 3 orders
• Ensures there are no stoppages on the wet end, due to paper related problems
• Ensures the reduction of butt rolls by monitoring the run lengths on orders and reel qty
• Ensure that the dry end can run at optimum speeds for each board grade
• Ensure the reduction of waste due to wet end issues
• Conduct training at the wet end
• Monitor wet end operator performance and improvement opportunities

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Matric with Math’s & Science
• SETA Trade Test on Board Manufacturing field\ RPL equivalent

• Minimum of five year’s experience in the corrugated industry.

• Able to work weekends, overtime and flexible hours
• Fluent in English

• Ability to perform well under pressure and multitask
• Strong team player with exceptional people skills, broad minded and able to manage a varied and multicultural environment

• Ability to lead and manage a team
• Driven towards achieving production targets whilst upholding exceptional safety standards.
